The #Egyptian government announced the establishment of a specialized port for yachts on the yachting coast of Ras Al-Mathlat, in the city of Ras Al-Hikma. This decision is considered a qualitative leap in terms of investment and tourism development on the Egyptian northern coast
The Official Gazette published Decision No. 1508 of 2024 by Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and the first article of the decision stated: “An international specialized tourist sea port will be established in the new city of Ras El Hekma to receive yachts and cruise ships.”

The second article of the decision stipulates that the Ministry of Transport (Maritime Transport and Logistics Sector) shall undertake the technical supervision of the implementation of the establishment of the port referred to in the first article of the decision, and to ensure the seriousness of implementation and its compliance with the legally prescribed specifications and requirements.
