Engineer Khaled Abbas, Chairman of the New Administrative Capital for Urban Development Company, revealed that the Financial and Business District is witnessing its final stages, as the final touches are being put in place in preparation for receiving all the entities working in it as of next October, according to each entity.

Engineer Khaled Abbas said - in an interview with the Middle East News Agency - that the Financial and Business District is one of the most important economic areas in the New Administrative Capital. It is equipped on a global level and includes 18 bank headquarters, in addition to the headquarters of the Central Bank of Egypt, the Egyptian Stock Exchange, and some important economic and financial entities. As well as the new headquarters of the African Export-Import Bank.

Abbas added that it is expected that the headquarters of the Islamic Development Bank will move to the New Administrative Capital, in addition to the headquarters and regional offices of major local and international companies, pointing out that the Financial and Business District has witnessed a number of bank branches that have actually begun operating, in preparation for the move of their main headquarters.

1000 families live in the Administrative Capital

On another level, Abbas said, “The number of families currently residing in the Administrative Capital has reached about a thousand families, and it is targeted to reach 7 to 8 thousand families by the end of the current year 2024, which confirms the city’s readiness to live in and the availability of all services necessary for the necessities of life.” During the next three years, it is targeted that the number of citizens residing in the city will grow to reach about one million citizens.”

Engineer Khaled Abbas pointed out the availability of all services that help citizens live in the city, including services in the field of education and health, in addition to the readiness of all facilities and the availability of restaurants and some recreational activities.

He explained that the Administrative Capital currently includes two types of parks, including the Green River Park, which is the largest park in the world, in addition to the People’s Park, while the company is moving to expand entertainment projects such as establishing an amusement park in order to complement the needs of the city’s various societal groups. .
